Inaugural ‘Liminal Collisions: Live at MOCA Jax’ to bring the noise
Liminal: [ˈlɪmɪnəl] adj. Of or relating to a sensory threshold.
Collision: [kəˈlɪʒən] n. A violent impact of moving objects.
While the above definitions may be useful, they aren’t necessarily definitive.
When associate English professor Dr. Clark Lunberry and adjunct design professor Mark Creegan needed a name for their mixed media event – the successor to Lunberry’s LOUDsound:Live – they made it intentionally cryptic, so as to leave the interpretation up the audience, Lunberry said.

Greetings, comrades. Today is a glorious day to recommit our collective energies to swelling the ranks of the Red Party and paying proper approbation to our benevolent leaders in Student Government.
We must make haste, we have much to announce and much to celebrate.
Firstly, the bourgeois construct of frequent elections is no more. For the unity of the party and the people, the divisive practice of campaigning will be no more.

As many UNF students set foot on campus Monday morning, they were probably greeted with an intriguing request.

UNF receives no monetary gain from exporting inebriated students to rehabilitation, detox centers

The Spinnaker, since it’s debut as “The Halyard” in 1974, has had access to campus police reports provided by the UPD on a weekly  basis.
In an average week, the Spinnaker picks up a moderate to thick pile of reports from the UPD that behold tales of health- and theft-  related incidents, alcohol and drug policy violations and sometimes flat-out bizarre acts of misbehavior.
Late this summer and early this fall, the Spinnaker started to notice an additional feature on …

The UNF Athletics Department, Student Government, Student Affairs and Greek Life have collaborated together to produce a new ordinance which will allow tailgating before basketball games at specific locations on campus. The ordinance allows students and fans to tailgate on the UNF Amphitheater before weekday games and at the Dottie Dorrion Fitness Center’s parking lot before weekend games.
“Having a strong atmosphere going into a game is just as important as during the game,” UNF men’s basketball head coach Matt Driscoll said. “The Boathouse has done a good job a bringing …

The two separate departments are now better organized
As UNF grows, so must its departments, the UNF Physics Department Chair James Garner said.
Garner used to be the chemistry and physics department chair before it split into two separate departments July 1.
The old department outgrew itself, and the split was done primarily to obtain separate budgets and offices, Garner said.
The budgets are determined by each college separately and on a number of different factors, said Kenneth Laali, chair of the UNF Chemistry Department.
The chemistry department has a slightly larger budget due to …
