Community First Credit Union at the Student Union became a full-service financial institution in fall 2009 and has grown since then, offering students cash handling services, a place to study and new opportunities to establish credit.

After a little more than a month of studious and at times contentious debate, the Student Government Senate approved the 2010-2011 fiscal year budget March 22.

Budget and Allocations Committee Chair and Sen. Kyle Nelson submitted his letter of resignation March 11 after Senate President Mack Volk asked him to step down from senate for conduct issues. However, Nelson is still running in the spring 2010 general elections for a general senate seat on the Red Party ticket.

The UNF tennis teams brought their A-game to Macon, Ga., to defeat the Mercer University Bears with a close tournament for the men and a steal for the women.

The UNF golf team placed second out of 15 teams competing in the 31st annual Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational, making them nationally ranked 23rd in the Golfweek/Sagarin performance index.
