Osprey 1Card Machines now offer new choices for students

The Osprey 1Card has been given more options for students to put money on their cards. New machines were placed on campus, which now allow students to use $1, $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills to add value to their Ozzie Bucks account. The machines also provide guests with rechargeable cards to use on campus. There are vending machines located on the first and second floors of the Thomas G. Carpenter Library and the vending machine alcove at Building 8.

Healthy Osprey Initiative promoting team

The department of health promotion and the Healthy Osprey Initiative are promoting a path to better health with the “Healthy Osprey Heart & Sole” team. The Healthy Osprey Initiative hopes to motivate students to participate in the American Heart Association’s “Start!” Heart Walk. The 5k walk takes place Sept. 25 at Metropolitan Park. Activities start at 8 a.m., and the walk begins at 9 a.m. The event is free, but the organization requests donations and funds to help support the American Heart Association.
