The Spinnaker compiled a list of cities that could possibly house an NFL expansion team and some ideas for the new teams’ mascots.

In a season full of uncertainty in the NFL only two things can be sure: the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans. While every other team in the NFL has been extremely inconsistent, these two teams are coasting towards the playoffs.

One team that has a significant chance at taking away the Titans perfect record is the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This NFL season has become almost as confusing as the BCS championship system. Over the last several years NFL fans have become accustomed to having a few teams atop the standings that were clearly set apart from the pack. Instead, eight weeks into the season there is only one team that remains undefeated and only one with one loss. However, this is not the downfall of every single team in the NFL, but rather a leveling of the playing field.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been playing the part of Two-Face so far in the NFL this season. The Jaguars looked like a Superbowl caliber team in wins over the Denver Broncos and division rival Indianapolis Colts. However, in games against the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills the Jaguars have struggled to find a consistent identity. With the Jaguars having a bye week in week seven they need to use their break to figure out which team they really are.

This is probably one of the hardest situations I have to face as an NFL fan. My two favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Jacksonville Jaguars, are facing off against each other in week 5.

However, this game could be decided by off the field factors. Although both teams have suffered several injuries the Pittsburgh Steelers enter Jacksonville with a roster missing five starters that has to resort to using their fourth string running back.

The Jacksonville Jaguars failed to win their first two games of the season, but hopefully their week three win against the Indianapolis Colts is a more accurate picture of what lays ahead in the season.
